  • 1- What is breathwork? Breathwork refers to any type of breathing exercises or techniques. It is performed to improve mental, physical, and spiritual well-being by intentionally changing your breathing pattern. Think of breathwork as a remote control that can instantly change the state of your nervous system and, in turn, your state of being.

    2- What are the benefits of breathwork? Breathwork has several benefits, including:

    Helping to find calmness and peace during high stress

    Boosting immunity

    Helping to process emotions and heal emotional pain and trauma

    Developing or increasing self-awareness

    Improving relationships

    Increasing confidence, self-image, and self-esteem

    Increasing joy and happiness

    Reducing stress and anxiety levels

    Releasing negative thoughts.

    3- What are the contraindications for breathwork? Breathwork may not be suitable for individuals with certain conditions. Please consult a doctor before practicing breathwork if you have any of the following:

    Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD-II and COPD-III)

    Chronic diseases with symptoms of decompensation or terminal illness

    Individual intolerance of oxygen insufficiency

    Acute somatic and viral diseases

    Serious cardiac or hypertension cases

    Cancer

    Epilepsy, pacemakers, or heart arrhythmias (unless treatment is under direct medical supervision).

    4- Is breathwork for you? Breathwork may be beneficial for you if:

    You struggle with feeling anxious and stressed

    You feel disconnected from your body and soul

    You have difficulty finding a sense of flow and connection in life

    You are overwhelmed and find it hard to make decisions

    You have physical sensations such as a tight chest or lack energy and sleep.

    5- What happens in my body during breathwork? As you start the active breath, you increase the level of oxygen in your body. This oxygenates the blood, stimulates the hypothalamus gland, and releases endorphins. As endorphins kick in, the brain becomes less in control. Your body may start to feel electric as energy begins to flow freely through it. You are voluntarily stimulating the involuntary system and moving to a higher state of consciousness. During sessions, clients feel their nervous system slowing down and gain a tangible sense of dropping into their bodies. They learn to discharge energy in a safe way, experience awakenings in their intuition, and gain clarity on their next steps.

    6- What can I expect to feel in a session? Breathwork is energy work and as you begin the breath pattern, your body may start to feel like it is coming alive with energy. It is also common to feel resistance in the form of tightness, tension, or emotional releases. My advice? Keep breathing to get that energy moving.

    Temperature fluctuations are normal as fear is released from the body. The body can also tighten and contract in places that commonly hold blockages, such as the mouth, lips, hands, arms (tetany), legs, feet, and hips. Tingling is common as energy moves through the body. During the session, your body may shake, vibrate, or move around. Listen to your body! You may also feel the need to release energy through crying, laughing, or screaming. Muscle tightness can occur as energy collects in the body but usually passes within a few minutes of returning to a relaxed breath.

    Your experience will change from session to session and person to person. All of these experiences are temporary and you can use your breath to move through them. If it ever becomes too uncomfortable, you can return to a relaxed breath without ruining the session.

    I encourage my clients to let any resistance or reaction in the body during the session be an opportunity to speak to their body. Ask your heart what it is ready to release or let go of or offer it sweet words of reassurance as it moves energy through the body.

    7- What is the cancellation policy?

    We understand that emergencies can happen but we appreciate cancellations being made within 48 hours for a full refund. If a cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the session, you will be charged a $30 fee.
